The French Bulldog is a fun-loving, active, ready-to-please small dog. They are gentle, affectionate, obedient (sometimes) and very responsive. They enjoy being with their people and are true companions. They do not require a large amount of grooming, but they generally like the brushing and attention. If you are lucky enough to be loved by a Frenchie, he will make it his priority to be the center of attention. The original colors of the Frenchie were brindle, piebald (white and brindle) and black masked fawn. Frenchies now come in a variety of colors, but we only offer those accepted by AKC. Due to their flat faces, Frenchies do not tolerate the heat. They can never be left in the yard. They will die. Frenchies swim like rocks, straight to the bottom. Their heavy chests and short legs work against them staying afloat, so they must be protected against pools and bodies of water.
